On a personal level, Ernest is a proud Father of three {two boys and a girl} and has been joyfully married for the past 20 years. Ernest and his family spend 50-60 days a year traveling around the world where they experience new faces, places and cultures. Recent travels have included trips to Austria, Canada [six times], Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France [three times], Germany, Greece, Ireland [three times], Italy [three times], Mexico, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Portugal, Morocco and the United Kingdom [four times]. In pursuit of this life balance, Ernest loves to ski, snowboard, snowshoe and cross-country ski 150+ days a year in the winter. During the summer months he runs, hikes, road bikes, mountain bikes, swims, competes in triathlons and plays nationally-ranked tournament tennis.

As part of his personal and community legacy he is involved in these areas:

• Willow Creek Tennis Courts — where he helped to organize the community to add two new tennis courts to a city park.
• Park City Magazine — where he was showcased in the Local Color section of the Winter/Spring 2009 issue.
• Habitat For Humanity — where he and the HabiTri race committee raised $50,000 a year to build new homes for families in need.
• Park City Track & Field Club — where he coached 100+ children, in 2nd-8th grade, guiding 12 coaches and 22 parent volunteers.
• Ninos On Skis — where he helps 65+ Hispanic children in the Park City area take free ski lessons in December — and then pairs them with a sponsoring family for the rest of the ski season.
• Utah Tennis, 2006 Volunteer of the Year.
• People's Health Clinic — where he helps in the fundraising efforts for an organization that provides basic health care services for low income families.
• Park City Education Foundation — where he funds two educational scholarships each year for high school seniors needing help with their college tuitions.
• Bright Futures — where he helps Hispanic students in Park City, go to and graduate from college.

We are living our dream — living at the base of three magical ski resorts and the home of the 2002 Olympics — in Park City, Utah. The photo to the left was taken on Jupiter Peak — at 10,000 feet. This is the highest point of the Park City Mountain Ski resort. We hiked for 20 minutes to get to this point on the peak. The drop off from the edge of this cornice is about 40 feet and the pitch was sharp enough that my shoulder was shaving the snow on the way down. In life — work hard — and play big!
